Our Story

Freetime Care was born out of a deep frustration and sense of injustice that ‘care in the community’ was not being carried out effectively, with the best interests of the individual and family being taken into account, or being provided to the highest of professional standards.

From humble beginnings in 2002 (just two rented rooms) we have grown steadily – learning some hard lessons along the way. We moved to our existing premises in 2014 and launched a second business – Freetime Plus – in 2019 offering respite care in two self-contained bungalows.

But our story doesn’t end there.

We’re on a journey to lead from the front in providing not just an exceptional level of service, but an extraordinary one. Our mission is to build a vibrant community of care and compassion through a bespoke, specialist and sustainable approach that nurtures the individual and promotes a sense of purpose, creating opportunities for all within our community.
