Working For Us

Face to face interviews are undertaken on our premises, which are secure and private for all candidates.

References, employment history, any gaps in employment record, criminal convictions (if any) will all be explored prior to an employment offer being made.

New staff will only be confirmed in post following completion of satisfactory checks.

These checks include:

  • Verification of identity
  • Disclosure and Barring Check (includes check on Adult Barring list)
  • Two satisfactory references are received and authenticicated
  • Work permit (if appropriate)
  • Driving licence (if appropriate)
  • Certificates of training and qualifications claimed
  • Declaration of physical and mental fitness

first aid

Training

All of our staff team are working towards or already qualified in Diploma Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care. All new starters have an in-depth induction with those that are unqualified completing the 12-week Care Certificate.

In addition we provide ongoing mandatory training in the following areas:

  • Moving and Handling
  • First Aid
  • Fire safety
  • Health and safety / Infection Control
  • Food Safety, Nutrition and Hydration
  • CALM – Crisis Aggression Limitation Management
  • Safeguarding Adults

Development

We provide ongoing professional development to all staff. We monitor staff performance through regular observation, spot checks and other forms of both formal and informal supervision.
